Baucus Announces Top Oil, Gas Executives to Testify at Thursday Hearing on Tax Breaks, Record Profits

Washington, DC Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) today announced the witnesses for a hearing he will convene on Thursday with top oil and gas industry executives to discuss ending tax breaks for the largest multinational oil and gas companies.  The hearing, titled “Oil and Gas Tax Incentives and Rising Energy Prices,” will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12 in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building and will include the testimony from top executives of the five largest multinational oil and gas companies.

Witnesses at Thursday’s hearing will be:

  • John Watson, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Chevron Corporation
  • Marvin Odum, U.S. President, Shell Oil Company
  • H. Lamar McKay, Chairman and President, BP America Inc.
  • James Mulva, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, ConocoPhillips
  • Rex Tillerson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Exxon Mobil Corporation
