Baucus Welcomes Adam Carasso as a Senior Tax and Economic Advisor

Experienced Analyst Will Serve as an Advisor on Tax Reform, Fiscal Issues

WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) today announced Adam Carasso has joined the Democratic staff of the Senate Finance Committee, where he will serve as a senior tax and economic advisor focusing on tax reform and other fiscal issues.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Adam to the Senate Finance Committee’s Democratic staff,” Senator Baucus said. “His extensive experience working on taxes and fiscal policy will be critically important as we continue our efforts to modernize the tax code and make it work better for American families and businesses.”

“I’m very excited to join the Senate Finance Committee tax team. I look forward to helping Senator Baucus and his top-notch staff as they continue to work on tax reform,” Carasso said. 

Carasso joins the committee from the Democratic staff of the House Budget Committee, where he served as chief economist and revenue analyst.  Prior to his time on the Budget Committee, Carasso held research positions at the New America Foundation and the Urban Institute.  Carasso received his Master in Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
