Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., released a statement today as the president delivers remarks about his record on seniors’ issues.
“Trump has made a lot of big promises to America’s seniors, but he has failed to follow through on a single one,” Wyden said. “The COVID-19 pandemic is the latest example: over 40,000 nursing home residents have died from this disease because the Trump administration has been missing in action when it comes to testing, protective equipment and transparency. Trump promised to lower drug prices, but time and time again he has bowed to Mitch McConnell and Big Pharma instead of getting the job done.”
