Hearing #1: “Examination of Proposals for Economic Growth and Job Creation: Incentives for
Consumption”

Hearing #2: “Examination of Proposals for Economic Growth and Job Creation: Incentives for
Investment”

Date/time: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at 9:30 a.m.
Location: 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.

Description: Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Committee on Finance, will convene two
hearings to explore two of the major elements of proposed economic growth packages from President Bush and Senate and House Democrats. Bipartisan panels of experts at each hearing will discuss the merits of these key elements and their effectiveness in boosting the economy. Witness lists will be available later.


Hearing #3: “To Hear Testimony on Nominations”

Date/time: Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, immediately following the previously scheduled tax
hearing, at approximately 12 p.m.
Location: 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.

Description: The committee will hear testimony on the nominations of Joseph Robert Goeke, to
be a judge of the United States Tax Court; Glen L. Bower, to be a judge of the United States Tax Court; Daniel Pearson, to be a member of the United States International Trade Commission; Charlotte A. Lane, to be a member of the United States International Trade Commission; and Raymond T. Wagner, Jr., to be a member of the Department of the Treasury, IRS Oversight Board. Each nominee will testify.
