Senate Unanimously Confirms Campbell as Assistant Treasury Secretary
WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today welcomed unanimous Senate confirmation of his committee’s Staff Director, Chris Campbell, to serve as U.S. Treasury Department Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions.
“Chris’ full Senate confirmation today is truly bittersweet as he takes on his new role at the Treasury Department,” Hatch said. “For more than six years, Chris has led the Senate Finance Committee in tackling some of the most pressing economic issues of our time – working to remove trade barriers, strengthen entitlement programs, and revamp the nation’s broken tax code. I wish him all the best as he embarks on this exciting new chapter in his career.”
In June, Hatch announced the committee's Policy Director, Jay Khosla, will succeed Campbell as Majority Staff Director.
