Wyden Statement on Supreme Court Planned Parenthood Ruling

Washington, D.C. — Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement on the Supreme Court’s ruling allowing states to block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood clinics:

“Republicans will stop at nothing in their crusade to rip health care away from women in America. Medicaid has always allowed patients the freedom to choose their own providers, like Planned Parenthood, that provide critical health care like cancer screenings. Today’s ruling reaffirms that Republicans are hellbent on controlling women’s access to lifesaving health care. With this ruling, the Republican party cements its status as the ‘let women die party’.”
