Wyden Statement on Trump-Kennedy Action to Reduce Access to Vaccines

Washington, D.C. — Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today issued the following statement after the Trump administration announced steps to unilaterally change the childhood vaccine schedule.

“Robert Kennedy is hellbent on continuing his anti-vaccine crusade, making America sicker and endangering children and other vulnerable people,” Wyden said. “The U.S. is currently experiencing the highest rate of measles in the 21st century, a fact that can only be attributed to the anti-vaccine rhetoric and actions coming from the highest levels of the Trump administration. Robert Kennedy, with Trump’s blessing, is leading the country down a tragic path where more children die from preventable diseases.”
