WASHINGTON Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today announced that Dr. Beth Vrabel has joined the Democratic Finance Committee staff, where she will serve as senior health counsel focusing on Medicare issues including Part B.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Dr. Beth Vrabel to the Senate Finance Committee’s Democratic staff,” Wyden said.  “Beth’s wide-ranging experiences as a physician and an attorney will be vital as the committee works to uphold Medicare’s historic guarantee and reinforce it for a new generation of Americans entering the program.”

Dr. Vrabel joins the committee from the office of Senator Ben Cardin, D-Md., where she served as health counsel. Prior to that, she graduated with an M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Before attending medical school, Dr. Vrabel earned a law degree from Harvard Law School and practiced law for six years. She earned a B.S. from Indiana University.
