Roth Statement on Medicare Reform
WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE) today released the following statement on Medicare reform:
"Any large scale Medicare reform requires a bipartisan effort. The best way to develop a bipartisan consensus is through the normal process of the Senate Finance Committee.
"I look forward to working with the Committee and the president to consider proposals for Medicare reform. We will begin hearings in late February on Medicare reform that includes a prescription drug benefit."
