Baucus, Grassley Applaud Orszag Pick To Lead Office Of Management And Budget

Senate Finance Committee leaders have worked closely with current Congressional Budget Office director

Washington, DC — Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Ranking Member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) today welcomed the nomination of Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Director Peter Orszag to lead the Office ofManagement and Budget in the incoming Obama Administration. As head of the CBO,Orszag has worked closely with the Senators and with their staffs to analyze legislative options and bills, and frequently testified before the panel on the likely economic effects of various proposals. The Senators released a joint statement on Orszag’s nomination today:
