Hatch Hails Senate Action on Bill to Provide Permanent Tax Relief

WASHINGTON – Following today’s Senate action on bipartisan legislation to provide permanent and responsible tax relief for hard-working American families and job-creators, Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) issued the following statement:

“By passing this important tax package that provides permanent relief for American families and job creators, we cap a year of historic policy victories under the Republican-led Senate and lay the groundwork for comprehensive tax reform moving forward. Congress is back to work for the American people.”

NOTE: Hatch, along with House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) introduced the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015, bipartisan legislation to renew and make permanent important tax incentives that support both individuals and job creators.  The measure, which cleared the Senate today, is expected to soon be signed into law.
