Wyden Announces Finance Committee Hearing on the Need for Paid Leave to Better Support American Workers and Families

WASHINGTON, D.C.Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., will convene a committee hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 titled "Exploring Paid Leave: Policy, Practice, and Impact on the Workforce.” The hearing will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The witnesses at Wednesday’s hearing will be:

  1. Ben Verhoeven, President, Peoria Gardens, Inc., Albany, Oregon
  2. Jocelyn Frye, President, National Partnership for Women & Families, Washington, DC
  3. Rachel Greszler, Senior Research Fellow in Economics, Budgets, and Entitlements, The Heritage Foundation, Washington, DC
  4. Elizabeth Milito, Executive Director, Small Business Legal Center, National Federation of Independent Business, Washington, DC
