Wyden Announces Finance Committee Hearing on Ultra-Wealthy Tax Avoidance Schemes

WASHINGTON, D.C.Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., will convene a committee hearing on Thursday, November 9, 2023 to examine the schemes the ultra-wealthy rely on to legally get away without paying their fair share in taxes. The hearing will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The following witnesses are scheduled to testify:

  1. Chye-Ching Huang, Executive Director of the Tax Law Center at NYU Law
  2. Morris Pearl, Chair of Patriotic Millionaires, previously Managing Director at BlackRock
  3. William McBride, Vice President of Federal Tax Policy at the Tax Foundation
  4. Douglas Holtz-Eakin, President of the American Action Forum
