Re: IRS employees’ tax compliance
Da: Friday, Jan. 2, 2004

Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Committee on Finance, made the following comment on the IRS’ efforts to enforce employee tax compliance.

“Zero tolerance is the right standard for IRS employees’ tax abuse. I appreciate the commissioner’s aggressive approach to nipping this in the bud. Since IRS employees enforce the tax laws, they’re in an informed position to abuse the tax laws. While few employees are likely to cheat on their taxes, it’s important to find and punish those who do.”
