Sen. Grassley Welcomes Sen. Ensign to the Committee
Sen. Chuck Grassley, ranking member of the Committee on Finance, today made the following comment on the appointment of Sen. John Ensign (R- Nev.) to the committee.
“I welcome Senator Ensign to the Finance Committee and look forward to working with him. I call it the quality of life committee because we cover taxes, trade, Medicare, Medicaid, retirement savings, Social Security, and other issues that affect people’s lives in key ways. There’s plenty of opportunity for a senator to engage and weigh in to produce good policy.”
